    Default Link(Aurora 0.7b) settings fail

So, I have tried setting up Link on my Xbox jtag through aurora 0.7b.
When i verify in setting, data port reachable =fail Broadcast port reachable= fail. everything else is configured. I have tried port forwarding with my tp-link mr3020 router and it fails. I am not sure if I am doing something wrong in the settings.i have also tried disabling firewall completely,in case it was causing any problem. In the port forwarding menu, it asks
1.Service port( which I think is the port/range I want to open)
2.internal port (i am not sure what this is so I leave it blank)
    3.ip address( i enter Xbox's)
    4. Protocol ( tcp/udp)
    5. Common service port( i leave it blank because I don't know what to select. It's a drop down menu)
Anybody who has used TP link for this purpose before, i need some assistance.
Any help is appreciated.I have gone through the tp-link faq site.i think I am doing everything right i . here is how the settings page looks like.

Have u already registered at xboxunity.com? I would try connecting without port forwarding first. Do the service ports in the picture provided reflect the same settings in Aurora?

I have registered at Xboxunity. When i verify my connection to link from aurora dashboard, my unity account gets verified. The only part that fails is ports not connected. also, the attached image is a stock image from Google, to show all the details i am asked in the port forwarding menu, the actual ports i enter(the ones on the aurora dashboard) are 3072 and 3071 (i enter SERVICE PORT : 3071-3072).

I have registered, yes. Also, the image shown here is a stock image from the internet, just to show the information i am asked to enter in the menu. My service ports are 3071 &3072.
I have tried port forwarding through my router and my main modem( the one directly connected to net) but it still doesn't work. i am thinking there must be some kind of firewall on the isp side. so, another way is if I use my mobile data and use it as mobile hotspot, anybody knows how to port forward in such a scenario? Thanks for the reply though.

I would try without port forwarding. Then try without security. You want to connect first, then make adjustments. I have had problems with port forwarding and such in the past.

You have to excuse my ignorance, I never bothered to notice that you had already suggested to try without port forwarding, in the first reply itself. so, after a series of frustrating failures at trying to open ports, i tried simply connecting to link within the game and gues what, it worked. A big thanks for the suggestion, man...wish i had read through a little more carefully. But, anyway it works now and thanks again. Cheers. ( Btw , i am new to link and i'm not sure if in-game voice chat function is available on link or not. I could get voice chat to work. Maybe it was game-specific.(cod mw3).

to play on link, those do not need to pass, to HOST on link, they do need to pass, but aurora defaults are 3071/3072.. you can change them to which ever, i suggest 8800/8810 as those ports arent used for games..

but aurora AND your router have to have the same ports, and the service port/internal port must be same lol.. you can check www.portforward.com for a more detailed guide on portforwarding

Hey, thanks for replying, but I have already got it working ( the ports apparently still aren't forwarded). But you said that I can't host a game in such a case but i remember one
time i hosted a game and one guy joined.but since then I have tried hosting several times but nobody joins. So i'm not sure if the ports were somehow open at that time and now it's not. Also in verifying LiNK, the port forwarding options always failed. But what really concerns me is that the game (cod mw3) lags(multiplayer) terribly, be it anybody's game. Do you think that I am facing such issues because of my ports not being open?
