Stefano Sollima, the director for the potential upcoming Call of Duty movie revealed that he's keen on getting Chris Pine and Tom Hardy to star in the movie together.
Sollima is currently still in negotiations to lead the movie adaptation of the popular first-person shooter and an interview with Metro he said that he's a big fan of Tom Hardy's work and that he would like to see Tom Hardy star in the Call of Duty film.
He also mentioned Chris Pine saying that he's "tough, but he's smart, and he can even have a sense of humour, but he can (also) be in such a dramatic role."
The Call of Duty movie will reportedly create a whole cinematic universe similar to the MCU or DCEU but just minus the whole superhero aspect of it. At the moment not much else is known about the project other than the fact that Keiran Fitzgerald is currently producing the script for it.
