Default Budget gaming PC build advice needed

Hi everyone. I am planing to build my first Budget gaming PC soon.
So i need advice which build will be better for games on 1080p 45 - 60fps

    1. AMD Athlon X4 860K Kaveri Quad-Core 3.7 with GTX 950 / R7 370

    2. Intel Skylake: Core i3 6100 3.7GHz with GTX 950 / R7 370

I was thinking about third variant with Pentium G3258 but is only two cores without HT And more and more games want more CPU power ( threads )

Thanks in advance for your Help

Both builds are pretty identical but I would probably go with the Intel/GeForce combo just because AMD will take a hit on anything built around a Nvidia contract.

I wouldn't bother with the G3258 unless your an OC enthusiast, or you'll save big off it.

You'll hit your mark with one of those builds, I have a similar build that runs current games on high settings.

Depending on your plans, you might consider an entry level Alienware Alpha, or Steam Machine. They around the same power for the same price (maybe cheaper), prebuilt, and will fit in your entertainment center, the drawback being that they lack a lot of options if you plan on upgrading later since the GPU is onboard.

    Budget?

Which games are you on about 1080p at 45-60fps?

I wouldn't bother looking at pre built machines like steambox and alienware they are overpriced and you can build small system Silverstone Raven cases are great if you want a small build for say your lounge.

You can get a 2nd hand Alienware Alpha for around $350 that will play games like Dying Light at 1080p.

You could get a combo like this, throw a decent gpu in it, and be good to go for around $400

The alienware is just an option, rather than paying $100 for a cube case, that will require a mini itx board, have very little work room, and still not look as nice in the entertainment stand. It's defiantly not an xomething I would recommended to someone with the knowledge and budget, to build, customize, or upgrade their own system, or enjoys doing so.

The I3 will carry more computational weight but you likely wont see a noticeable difference between the two. The problem you will face down the road when games start to leverage more cpu core power. In this case I would consider a core I5 of some sort if your budget is able as it is a true quad core and not a clustered multi core or an I3 with hyperthreading.
