weiderpro 225? If it is is 300lbs user weight and 400lbs total weight (user + weights), thats what i've read on Sears Q&A about the item.

Ask him to check the metal plate that says the model and the weight limit.

    - Only one image per signature, 2 are fine, but only if they are small.
    - Signatures can be up to 900 pixels wide and 300 pixels high.

I didn't know there was such a thing as a weight limit. Well obviously there is but i wouldn't worry about it, the metal won't just snap on you unless you have like a thousand pounds on the bar lol Just use your common sense i guess when it comes to that stuff.

Its actually lower than you think.. Some of these can only handle 110-150 lbs... You might end up killing yourself it it collapse....

I just dont want to waste my time to travel and pick it up and its worthless to me

Those "limits" are just to protect the company.. i'm sure you could triple the weight limit before it would become dangerous. Go ahead and play it safe though, get one of those industrial machines if you want to be really safe.

weight limits don't matter much; I had a similar one that said no more than 180lbs, but I've had 300+ on it and it was perfectly fine.

    Dont matter much?

Not until it breaks and caves in your chest or crushes your head.

As an engineer I can tell you that there is a factor of safety....

But there is also a yield strength.

Insurance doesn't matter until you get rear ended and someone dies. You're gonna be able to tell how much weight the thing can take just by looking at it in person.
