BurnerMAX Payload Tool Guide

This piece of software will enable you to use most of the MTK chipset burners out there for fully burning XGD3 games.

Since it's new, we don't have a fully list of compatible drives, but this is the official statement from the release notes:

- Support for stock iHas B, C, and D burners, all makes and models
- Support for many of the Liteon iHAS Clones
- Supports many other mnodels such as ASUS, Samsung, Pioneer and many others
- Supports many Liteon and Samsung USB External Burners
- Supports many Liteon IDE Burners
- Supports any disc burning software - we recommend iMGBURN

Seems like there will be more compatible drives in numbers than incompatible ones, so I think it'd be more convenient to compile a list of BurnerMAX Payload Tool-incompatible ones. Please feel free to contribute on the comments.

Due to the use of stock firmware and different burner makes and models, any settings the burner has play a more important role.

For iHas burners B, C and D, recommended settings are:

Force Hypertuning - Enabled
Online Hypertung - Disabled
Smartburn - Enabled
Overspeed - Enabled
OPC history - Do not clear

Note: Results may vary depending on hardware and disc brand.

Let's Get Started

Download BurnerMAX Payload Tool v0.15

1) Make sure your burner is up and running.

2) Open imgburn (or your choice of burning software bu imgburn highly recommended).

3) Insert your blank DVD+R DL disc (As always, Verbatim is recommended).

4) Run BurnerMAX Payload Tool.

5) Make sure the correct drive is selected on the Info tab.

6) Press BurnerMAX button.

7) Once you get "BurnerMAX IS enabled!" message, re-select your drive in imgburn and the capacity will be increased.

8) Now you can burn your game with your standart settings.

Note: You will need to send the BurnerMAX Payload evertime you insert a blank DVD+R DL disc.

Yeah, that's the way it works I suppose but I don't think it's too reliable anyway. My crappy slimtype laptop burner gets patched successfully but I can't even write XGD2 games with it for instance, lol.

keep in mind those phillips drives are the rebadged benq drives too... maybe in a future revision they will work

I can confirm two drives working asus drw2-24b1st rev c and Tsstcorp cddvdw TS-u633f (laptop Drive)

Yeah, I believe more burners will be supported in the future so it's not wrong to assume that.
