how easy is it to fix a broken PS3 (i know it depends on the error) but are they the same kinda easiness as the 360
i have tried to join the PS3iso but im having trouble joining so i cant ask there

Like you say depends on the error all i have ever done is changed the thermal paste and fixed ylod ones which is easy enough and changed drives and lasers again simple really.

Well as you know, on a 360 if the fans are loud and you get 2 red lights, usually means its overheating.

Well today, I decided to do my dads "fans loud flashing red light" ps3. I did it and the problem still persists -_-

Nothing like the 360 worst i have seen is the ylod obviously on par with the rrod but fixes seem to last a hell of a lot longer because the fan does its job.
Other errors maybe a corrupt hdd but you can solve that easy by rebuilding it without loss of data ive had a ps3 before that would not turn on it just kept switching off so i got in recovery mode and rebuilt the database for it to work.

Obviously your doing it to make money so the best thing to do is get ylod fat consoles with the warranty seal still intact on the console.
This way you can get in to it without voiding it fix it and sell it to a shop ylod can be caused by the psu though but that is rare.

If for yourself i would suggest getting a new slim trust me their worth the money.
I have had mine well over a year never had any problems with it and it is used a hell of a lot as its used for films too.
Since my warranty is out i just take it apart every so often and clean it to make sure but their durable consoles.
You could also look on ebay for one that does not read discs get it cheap and replace the laser or drive.
