Apple on Wednesday rolled out the second developer preview of its upcoming operating system, Mac OS X 10.7 Lion.

Available only to registered developers via the Mac App Store, the beta software is carrying build number 11A419 and has been labeled as Mac OS X Lion Developer Preview 2.

The beta software emerged along with Mac OS X Lion Server Developer Preview 2 and Xcode 4.1 Developer Preview 2, which is also carrying the same 11A419 build number.

The newest OS X Lion developer preview features a visual overhaul of iCal which resembles the look & feel of the iPad’s app.

Xcode 4.1 Preview 2, the pre-release version of the company’s Mac OS X development suite, accompanied the above-mentioned two releases.

Apple’s forthcoming Mac OS X Lion operating system, which is slated for this summer, will bring new features like that of AirDrop and Mission Control.

Thanks. There are a few differences.. you can notice.. But most of them can barely tell, like airport is called wifi and a few other things are different

Well tits I changed my mind installed DP 1, then DP2, then did some system updates, (basically DP3) and it changed a LOT since the first release.

First release barely worked. I'm running it now, the only issues I'm having are keeping my damn browsers actually OPEN (crashing)

anything is better then windows.. lol but techzilla said that because SL was only a upgrade from Leopard thats why it was so cheap. lion is something completely new and changed witch I disagree but thats how they will justify the price...

even if it does cost 140 dollars, that's still less than half of what windows costs.

Lion is supposed to be similar to the iOS that Apple has out and it's supposed to work better with them. If I'm correct from what I've read. $140 isn't bad for an OS. I know Linux is free, but it's much better then Winblows which is about twice as much. Hopefully it will be good though. I'm not going to switch to it for a minimum of 6 months. I want to see what bugs it has and what's been fixed.

Just came in here to make a new thread lol about the new update again.

But yea $140 bucks? Not bad at all. I love how Apple basically accepts that we pirate their stuff but they will give it to us for a good price, with great compatibility between hardware/software and support that has a good rapport with it's customers.

I'll probably actually buy it.
Eventually.
